     Dust-proof ring is installed in the hydraulic cylinder. When the piston rod retracts to the system, it is used to scrape the dirt, impurity particles, debris and water on the piston rod to prevent them from polluting the hydraulic medium. At the same time, they can prevent damage to wear-resistant rings, seals and other components. According to different uses and different sealing systems, single-acting or double-acting dust-proof rings can be selected, but their functions are completely different: single-acting dust-proof rings are designed to prevent external pollutants from entering the system; while double-acting dust-proof rings have the function of optimizing the sealing system besides dust-proof, and can scrape off the remaining ones. Oil film to avoid external leakage.

     Polyurethane (PU) is a special material that offers the resilience of rubber combined with the toughness and durableness. It allows people to substitute rubber, plastic and metal with PU. Polyurethane can reduce factory maintenance and OEM product cost. Polyurethane has better abrasion and tear resistance than rubbers, and offering higher load bearing capacity.  

     Compared PU with plastic, polyurethane not only offers excellent impact resistance, but also offers excellent wear resistant and high tensile strength. Polyurethane have subsituted metals in sleeve bearings, wear plates, conveyor rollers, rollers and various other parts, with benefits such as weight reduction, noise abatement and wear improvements.

Installation instructions

1:Dust-proof ring is installed on the outside of hydraulic cylinder head to prevent external pollutants from entering the cylinder. According to the installation method, it can be divided into two types: integral installation and non-integral installation. 

2.Overall installation of dust rings, the most common, dust rings stuck in the end cover of the inner wall of the groove, for less harsh environmental conditions. The material for integral installation of dust-proof rings is usually polyurethane, such as DSI, LBI and DHS. The dust-proof rings can not be integrally installed. Under severe and heavy load conditions, the polyurethane material is wrapped with a layer of metal to increase strength and pressed into the hydraulic cylinder head. Dust-proof rings that can not be installed as a whole also have many forms, such as LBI, DKBI, DKB and other dust-proof seals.
