1. Tightness:
The seal pad will not leak in a certain period of time under recommended termperature and pressure.
2.Compressibility:
The connecting surface for pad and flange should be in good match to ensure the tightness after fastening bolts.
3. Creep-resistance:
The creep-resistance should keep well as the same under the influence of pressure and temperature. Otherwise, it will cause the loss for bolt torque and decrease the surface pressure for pad, which will lead to leakage.
4.Chemical resistance:
The pad should not be corroded by chemical media. Meanwhile, it can not pollute the media.
5.Resilience:
Even though in stable situation, the connecting flanges will get minor displacement because of temperature and pressure. As a result, the resilience of gasket should make up this displacement to ensure tightness.
6. Anti-bonding:
It should be easy to remove the gasket after using.
7.Non-corrosion:
The gasket should not have corrosion to flange surface.
8.Temperature-resistance:
The gasket should be used normally in the lowest and highest temperature.
